La Romana.- The Norwegian Sky cruise ship began using the Dominican Republic as its Home Port, departing from the tourist terminal of La Romana, giving way to one of the goals of the Dominican Port Authority of turning the country into a cruise hub in the region.
The director of the Dominican Port Authority, Jean Luis Rodríguez, enthusiastically highlighted the positioning of the Dominican Republic as a preferred port of call for Norwegian cruises, departing from La Romana.
Rodríguez stated that “this milestone consolidates our position as a top-level maritime destination, offering exceptional experiences to cruise visitors due to the combination of the beauty of La Romana and the quality of service in our port that further strengthens the country’s maritime and tourism industry.”
The Norwegian Cruise Line fleet vessel, one of the most famous cruise companies in the world, will depart from the tourist province with prices ranging from US$1,500.00 to US$1,900.00.
